Fraud Prevention Policy

When you place an order with BatteryCountry.com, your order is subject to the following:

Credit Card

Any order that is placed with a credit card, that has a bill to or ship to address outside the US, or any order that we deem suspicious will be immediately placed on hold and the total amount of the order will be charged in three separate increments, beginning with two small increments (less than $1 each) that must be verified prior to the order shipping. In other words, for example, if the total of the order is $100.00, two small random amounts will be charged to the card, for instance, it may be $.14 and $.91. We will then email the address that was used to place the order and ask you to verify the amounts that were charged to the card. You will need to log in to your account over the internet or by calling the card issuer and find out what those two amounts were and reply to our email telling us what those two small amounts were. Once you have successfully done so, the final amount of the order will be charged to the card (in this case it would be $98.95) and once that amount is processed, the order will be removed from hold status for further processing.

PayPal, with payment not received by the time we process the order

Any order that is placed with a PayPal account, that has a bill to or ship to address outside the US, or any order that we deem suspicious, will be immediately placed on hold. If you have not already sent the order total via PayPal, then the total amount of the order will be requested to the email address listed on the order, in three separate requests, beginning with two small requests (less than $1 each) that must be paid prior to the order shipping. In other words, for example, if the total of the order is $100.00, two small random amounts will be requested, for instance, it may be $.14 and $.91. We will send this PayPal request to the email address that was used to place the order. You will need to log in to your account and pay those two amounts. Once you have successfully done so, the final amount of the order will be requested (in this case it would be $98.95) and once that amount is paid, the order will be removed from hold status for further processing.

Any order that is placed with a PayPal account, that has a bill to or ship to address outside the US, or any order that we deem suspicious, will be immediately placed on hold. If you have already sent the order total via PayPal, then two additional small requests (less than $1 each) will be sent to the email address used on the order, which must be paid to verify that you have access to the account that was used to place the order. Once those two small amounts are paid, they will be refunded. In other words, for example, if the total of the order is $100.00, and you have already sent the payment of $100.00 to our PayPal account, then two more small requests will be sent to the email address entered on the order, for instance, it may be $.14 and $.91. You will need to log in to your account and pay those two amounts. Once you have successfully done so, proving that you have access to the account, those two ammounts will be refunded and the order will be removed from hold status for further processing.
